    Hello,

I like free stuff! But I also like Sci-Fi, especially Christian Sci-Fi. Thanks Chris for adding another author to my ever expanding list of “must reads”. Do you have a time machine so I can read all of them? :)

Did you read Stephen Lawhead’s sci-fi books? Dream Thief and Empyrion I and II. Good stuff.

    Nathan

Oooh, free stuff! I can’t wait to get the money to buy the “Rise of the Dibor”. The Return sounds cool too! The FFT authors are so generous! Thank you for the chance to win. :)

Mmm…looks like a great read. If Christopher says it’s a good book, then I say bring it on. Would love to get my hands on it! :-) -Mandee

I remember back a few years ago picking up a faded copy of “Out of the Silent Planet,” the first in a series of three by C.S. Lewis conveniently called “Space Trilogy.” Better acquainted with more “Spiritual” books at the time, a SciFi didn’t really seem quite so attractive, nor worth the time. Fortunately making it through the first couple chapters I was completly sold, not only did this SciFi series excite me to read past two in the morning, but it also showed me that it is possible to place a far more amazing depiction of Christ and Christianity in a Fiction book than could ever be accomplished in thousands of pages of theology.

If this book is what you say it is Christopher, I’m getting a copy free or not!

    I want to read it!

along with every other book on my to-read list…
anybody have a way that I can read constantly, and still do what I need to do?

My favorite Sci-fi at this point ish Alan Dean Foster’s Pip and Flinx series. I hope this one draws me in as much as Pip and Flinx did!

  7. baddogmooney says:

Man CH, you just keep adding to my pile of books to read. When am I to write? hehe

This looks like something definitely up my alley. I’m telling you, Ezekiel saw aliens and UFOs.

And working with Ollie North? One of my heroes, wish he would have run for president.

A final note. I’m growing tired of the “Christian” tag on everything. Christian Sci-fi, Christian fantasy, Christian speculative fiction, bla bla BLA! I agree with Mr. Boyd, Jesus used fiction (parables) to teach truth, but I never heard him label it such (not accusing you Mr. Boyd). If we are in the Light, we will reflect Him. How come our peers feel they have to label the fruit of our lives that way.

Do we drink “Christian juice” because the orchard belongs to a believer? Do we buy “Christian jeans” because of who owns the manufacturing plant? When will our art be the just that: art, inspired by Him. When the label is removed, finally it will be available to those who need it.

Mark 2:17, “When Jesus heard it, He said unto them, ‘They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.’”

This looks interesting, Christopher. I still need to read the post below, but alas, don’t have time. Evil schoolwork and fulltime job :P

But if you say it’s good, I’ll plan on reading it … at some point. I’m halfway through The Lion Vrie (HUZZAH!!) and have a pile of books to read after that, and my list keeps getting longer. Oy.

  9. Jason says:

    Science Fiction rules!!!!

  10. Jason Clement says:

I only read Buddhist science fiction though… dang. Give Billy my prize copy.

  11. Billy Jepma says:

I love free stuff, but I love reading at the same time. If this book is everything that Christopher says it is, then oh yeah, I am going to have to get that book if it is free or not.
The Return sounds is a great book, it is going to be added to my collection of books.
Christopher, thanks for telling me about this contest, you may have just given Austin Boyd a new fan!!!!
P.S. Jason, I like your comment.

  12. Melissa says:

So do we all win something? :p

  13. Connie says:

    AAAAAAGGGH!!!

Christopher!! I just finished reading The Lion Vrie! I…just…b-but…WHY?!?!?!?!

You’d better hurry up and finish that third book, my friend, or else the Dairne-Reih won’t be the only thing you have to worry about.

*glances at book* *dissolves in a puddle of tears*

  14. Connie says:

I can’t scream where I am at work, so I decided to scream here instead. *ahem*

  15. Roheryn says:

    I knew that’s how you’d react!

and Ih, he’d have to worry ’bout us as well.

  16. Okay, Sir Christopher

We clamor for a new post! What’s going on with you? How’s the new book coming? I have several friends screaming at me–AT ME–demanding your 3rd book come soon!! C’mon, throw us a bone already! ;-)
