Marketing Genius: Huck & Chuck

picture-10.png

In learning more about possible US Presidential Candidate, Mike Huckabee, I found what I think has to be one of the most clever commercials ever. Geared right at my generation, this is certainly one-of-a-kind. Take a look at let me know what you think. Being a youth pastor of a bunch of teens who have a new Chuck Norris joke every week, I had to laugh.

As to his politics, some of Huckabee’s views on family, pro-life, the 2nd Amendment and dissolving the IRS are quite refreshing, as is his commanding authority during public speaking. However, I’m a bit apprehensive with some of his hidden liberal spending decisions in the past as I tend to be true “Goldwater Conservative.”

Did you catch the cnn/youtube republican debate? Huckabee is the man. He locked in my vote in an answer to what he would do to further space exploration: put hillary on the first rocket to mars. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxSADjBN5_k

  2. I missed the debate, but I’m playing catch-up thru YouTube.

While that certainly is a funny anecdote, aren’t you the least bit worried that if she actually does finds life on Mars she’ll try and convert them to Socialism? Then what would we do?

  3. Huck had a neat idea once when his legislature demanded more tax money. He decided to set up a “tax me more fund” where people could voluntarily pay more in taxes if they felt they weren’t paying enough in taxes. (Snicker)

The Chuck Norris ad was cool, but I’m backing Fred Thompson. Sorry, but not even Chuck Norris can make me vote for his guy. (Ducks from flying roundhouse kick)

Actually, if Hillary converts Mars to socalism, then their military resources will dry up, and they won’t come in their flying saucers to invade us!

  4. Jason,

I hear ya’. A lot of people really like Mr. Thompson. I’m undecided as of late; honestly, I’m waiting for *someone* to start a third party. Until then I’m content to see Hillary blasted to Mars and contemplate how she’s going to provide health care for all the Martians. In the mean time, I’m really encouraged with your thoughts about how the aliens won’t be able to invade us–that was brilliant, my friend.

I’m not sure who I’ll be voting for. I like a few things about Huckabee, but I’m not sure if I like him enough to vote for him. I don’t really see any major candidates that particularly stand out as someone I like. I like some things about each of them, (Yes, even Hillary.) But find plenty to dislike about them as well.

As for the more unheard of candidates, I’ve always liked Alan Keyes. If for some reason we decided to abandon the republic and for some (very odd) reason they decided to let me decide who would be the next president I’d probably choose him.

    Hi,

I’m also undecided, even after watching most of the YouTube debate.

I’m having a hard time not choosing the “most likely to win” candidate, and staying true to my values and beliefs. Do I vote for the a less likely to win candidate and not compromise? Or do I not vote at all?

I don’t pay enough attention to political debates and such…
honestly, I couldn’t even name three candidates, who are looking to run for president…
    so, I can’t really say that I back anyone…

  8. Nathan says:

I found a very helpful website to help me determine where the candidates stand on issues.

    http://www.issues2000.org/Issues.htm

It’s not the easiest website to use, but it has so much information.

That is a very great campaign idea. I tend to stay out posting my politcal idealogies, I see it as a private thing!

That is a very great campaign idea. I tend to stay out of deabtes and ever posting my politcal idealogies or even speaking them, I see it as a private thing, especially with some of my views
Hey! I know this may be the wrong article, but the first chapter of the third WH book was awesome, only a year now, can’t wait to read it!
