Great ministry going on here, Ian and Mooney. glad my website could be used for such things. And Ian, hey, be encouraged bro! Even the fact that you're wrestling with this kind of thing means your heart is in the right place...and last I knew that's what God cared about most!!! Keep your eyes on Jesus and let Him lead you; there's no pressure but His.

Blessings!

hehe, There's no blame being thrown -- maybe at myself. When I think of of who I am, what I've done in my life whether good or bad, I am reminded of the words, "what is man that You [God] are mindful of him [me]." With all of my imperfections and, at times, outright rebellion, the Creator of all that is and will be has chosen me to help carry His message of love, faith, and hope. It’s humbling.

Well, the reply turned into a post, so you can check it out at http://tsdi.wordpress.com/2008/04/01/on-myhuman-nature/

Mooney - I know. I wasn't trying to make excuses, just so you know...but I do need to find more of the faith God has given me. I can talk to people about the Bible, but often, I will physically freeze up. Still not trying to make excuses, I *want* to talk to them about God...

seems like I don’t have the reputation...to have people listen to me about the Truth.

hmm. Here's "preaching" at me too.

I can think of a few people New Testament with bad reputations. Paul (Saul), James and John (the Sons of Thunder), Judas Iscariot (the thief), and some guy named Jesus (wine bibber, friend of sinners, not welcome in his home town, and blasphemer).

I love to look at Hebrews 11, and the list of who God says had faith. To name a few: Abraham (liar, deceiver, directly disobedient to God), Jacob (deceiver and liar extraordinare), Joseph (esentially enslaved an entire nation, then his own), Moses (murderer), Rahab (prostitute). Then verse 32, "And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets..."

Be faithful, be obedient. When the opportunity comes, listen for direction because His Spirit will give you the words (Luke 12:12).

Peace,

*sighs* I have often convicted myself of all that lately....it just seems like I don't have the reputation (which is often a huge factor at my school) to have people listen to me about the Truth. I also don't know how to go about sharing it - I don't often get chances to talk to people who need to be saved when they won't think I'm joking or ridiculous. I always tell myself "I'll try when I get the chance", but I don't know how to CREATE a chance....

Matt: I'm wondering if church worship teams should start to "cross train" in the public sector: festivals, bars, concerts. Bring the anointed music of the Spirit out into the world.

Good deal! I'm so excited they asked you to come play. I hope they know what's coming. I to have been longing for an opoutunity to jam outside the church crowd. Keep it real!

CFA: Thanks for the encouragement! (It took a while to get out just right; it's a fine line between being convicting and judgmental).

UKSteve: (grin) LOL That's because you live in the UK and everything that's normal to you is traditional to us. Grrr... (Great comment! Love it!).
