Shane: The idea of artificial tress has crossed my mind more than once. A whole lot less work (ie MESS). But somehow all the work is part of the tradition for me I think.
Wayne: Now THAT sounds like fun! Hope you're having fun RIGHT NOW!
YD: Surrounded by Christmas Trees! Can life get any better?
Brianna: And I bet you take at least one candy cane from the tree, too...am I right? ;)
Thanks for sharing everyone! ch:

We typically get our tree a couples days after Thanksgiving. We have a tradition of going to the same tree farm every year. They have hot chocolate, and a hidden "candy cane tree" (a little tree covered with candy canes) for the kids to find. It's a lot of fun. :)

We're kind of surrounded by evergreen trees, so we just walk into the woods, cut down a tree, and drag it into the house. I love the smell of a fresh Christmas Tree.

We're going tomorrow after church. We go out to a local tree farm for a live tree, come home, crank up the Christmas music and decorate the tree, the outside, and anything else that will hold up a strand of lights.

We have an artificial white tree. Most years we put it up October 31st.

This year however it was last November, we never took it down from last year. :-D It seems we are out to disprove whoever it was that said we'd get tired of it. I'm not tired of it. Besides it gets redecorated. Maybe this year I'll decorate it for all the holidays.

We used to use real trees, but that changed about ten years ago, we use artificial now. I like the ability to keep it up as long as we like though.

Nathan: Oooo! That sounds nice! Posting any pics soon?
Billy: Leaving it up is always a great way to let the memories and "feeling" of Christmas linger! So true! ch:

We normally get it two weeks before Christmas, just because we get to keep it longer after Christmas is over. It extends the holiday for us. Also, it allows the presents to stack up beneath it faster, instead of longer. :)

We usually get it the weekend after T-day and cut it down ourselves. The place we usually get it has tractor pull rides, Santa, hot cocoa and other goodies.
