Black Friday: Shopping or Turkey?

The way I see it, you have one of two choices on Black Friday. Either 1.) you feel the need to run out of the house screaming, only to find yourself fighting through crowds of people who all share your frantic motivation to get out of the house, only to find themselves surrounded by…well…you! Or 2.) you are staying home to clean, and force-feed yourself leftovers, figuring out newfangled ways to prepare turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing that won’t induce vomiting (which subsequently option 1. gets you out of…although many people vomit over fast food).

So, which is it? Or, do you have some tertiary option with which to enlighten us on?

For me, I’m home with the kids and bro & sis in-law watching Pixar’s “Up,” while Jennifer, her Mom, and Amber are out for coffee. Yes, I’m still in my PJs, unshowered, unshaven, and suffering from a NyQuil hangover. ch:

How Do You Cook Your Turkey?

I’m just curious, how do you prepare your turkey? This year, I’m attempting yet another fried turkey, but complete with not-so-secret ingredients courtesy of master chef @denis_jr. Using 100% peanut oil, Tony Chachere’s Creole Butter injection, and rub, frying at 350-degrees at 3.5-minutes per pound. So, do tell! And Happy Thanksgiving! ch:
