About

Christopher Hopper with the finished portrait Wisdom and the Looking Glass

I’ve been making art since I was a boy. I loved the detail in comic books and paintings big enough to feel as though they could swallow me whole.

A mentor taught me watercolor in elementary school, and I concentrated on art through high school. I later spent decades in graphic design, working with firms large and small.

Most of my paintings have been private commissions, so much of this work has rarely been seen outside the homes it was made for. After 23 years, my wife finally convinced me to put my paintings online. I’m glad you’re here to see them.
